Hello, Folks, My partner and I ventured down to beautiful Osa Peninsula, Costa Rica just before Christmas, 2014, and spent 4 nights at the amazingly gluten-free motel and restaurant , La Cuna del Angel. We were warmly welcomed and escorted off to our clean, comfortable room. I cannot rave enough about the superb food, both of us being gluten free have never come across such superb bread including the US. And the breakfasts, themselves, are to die for---SUPERB!!!
This is not a 5 star hotel by American standard, but I have never stayed in a nicer one in Costa Rica. The facility is kept squeaky clean, the staff are patient and hard working, the restaurant is really good, and the pool is wonderful. Air conditioning and TV were a real treat. It was one of the best spots for birding.
My husband and I stayed at Hotel Cuna del Angel during the Envision 2015 Festival. It was truly an amazing oasis! The staff at the front desk, the restaurant and the cleaning staff were very professional. The grounds were home to howler monkeys, toucans, lizards and other wildlife. The plants and trees were also very attractive. The swimming pool looks like cross between a waterfall and the ocean and looks at the ocean.
We had one of the jungle rooms that have quaint furniture and a nice little deck that opens right to the jungle. The ceiling fan was much appreciated. Roomy bathroom, too. The infinity pool is lovely. The food in the very nicely appointed open air restaurant was outstanding, some of the best I have had in 3 trips to Costa Rica. One night we had fabulous steaks and table side dessert service. What a treat. Not far from the beach.
I have been there before but this was the first time I stayed at the hotel. The place is gorgeus and the food is excellent. The personnell attention is over expectations, starting with the check in up to the moment they put your baggage in the trunk of your car. Really a place to return!!!
